Activity 1:  I understood the simple past tense perfectly!

1.1  Go HERE to do an exercise on regular simple past verbs.

1.2  Classify these verbs in regular and irregular verbs.

1.4  Unscramble these negative simple past statements. 

 

Activity 2:  Spin the wheel!

2.1  Ask your partners questions about their recent activities. They should answer using correct past tense forms.

 

2.2 Take turns to spin the wheel and talk about past events.

 

Activity 3:  Do you pronounce that simple past tense verb with a "t," a "d," or a "id" sound at the end?  

3.1  Watch this video for a more detailed explanation on how to pronounce the -ed ending of regular past tense verbs.

 

3.2  Classify the words according to the pronunciation of the -ed ending of their past simple forms.
